When you think about cyber attacks you are thinking of how much did the loose? How much did it cost them? Behind every cyber attack there is an amount, usually a big one.

Let’s look at the numbers. According to the Ponemon Institute’s 2015 global study on the cost of cybercrime, the cost increased 19% from 2014 to 2015 in the U.S. alone, with the average annual cost per company reaching $15.4. But are we talking just about cold, hard cash? Absolutely not. One of the worst effects of a cybercrime attack is the massive reputation blowback that the breached company experiences. As we saw in the Ashley Madison breach, the company’s reputation suffered considerably and the CEO had to resign. When you take all the possible effects into account, wouldn’t you prefer to spend a little more now than a lot more later?
